A golf cart is attracting a lot of attention at the Morro Bay Golf Course and not just because it’s hot pink. Rental income for that cart is going directly to the French Hospital Foundation that provides breast cancer screening and diagnostic services for under-insured SLO County women. According to Joel Clay, concessionaire at the golf course, $750 was raised in October alone through the generosity of the players there. There’s a personal story behind the pink golf cart, too. Tammy Doshier, GM at Morro Bay Golf Course, reported that her mom was in the middle of a fight with breast cancer. Reports are that she competed radiation treatment and is doing very well. The pink cart is available for rental during playing hours.
