Grant for Operation School Bell

The Central Coast Funds for Children has awarded the Assistance League of San Luis Obispo County a $1,500 grant. Members of both groups work to improve the lives of children in SLO County.

The money will support the Assistance League’s effort to provide new clothes for disadvantaged children through Operation School Bell. For the current school year, the program is estimated to benefit 1,400 K-12 students.

This year, Assistance League celebrates it 20th Anniversary during which they estimate they’ve helped 20,000 students with “school-appropriate” clothing. They’ve also opened a thrift store at 667 Ste. A, Marsh St., in San Luis Obispo. For more information see: alslocounty.org.
