The Chamber staff and Board of Directors have been actively promoting “Doing Business in Morro Bay” this past quarter. We hope you are shopping local and supporting the businesses to a make the month of May bloom.

The following are ways the chamber is working to promote business:

  • Social Media/Marketing — FaceBook highlights.
  • Website Development — Coming soon, an interactive website to help promote our members.
  • Local Economic Action Plan — Working with the City and LEAP teams to develop marketing/social media outlets, a commercial property list, enrich the Downtown area, events and much more.
  • Sign Ordinance — Helping the City and business owners revise the sign ordinance.
  • Business License and Amnesty — Continue working with the City to make business license rules right for Morro Bay business owners (saved businesses money from past penalties).
  • Event Support — E-blasting events, handling inquiries and other services.
  • Monthly Business Forums — Free and open to business community and highlighting important business topics and concerns. Next forum, “An Economic Update for Morro Bay,” is set for 7:30-9 a.m. Thursday, May 21 at The Grill Hut, 850 Quintana Rd. (New time and locale).
  • Monthly Chamber Mixers — A networking opportunity and chance to learn successful business skills. The Board of Directors is actively working to help your business and the City of Morro Bay be a successful business community. Next mixer is 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, May 14, Grandma’s Frozen Yogurt & Waffle Shop, 307 Morro Bay Blvd.
