On Sept. 11, the public was invited to join a low key ceremony at the SLO City’s World Trade Center Memorial at Fire Station #1, honoring the 403 Fire and Law Enforcement professionals whose lives were lost at the World Trade Center on 9/11/2001.
Unlike last year, which marked the official opening of the memorial, there were no speeches for the victims of 15 years ago, only two rounds of bagpipes at 8:45 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
