101 Off-Ramp Closed Until Next Year

The southbound U.S. Highway 101 off-ramp at Los Osos Valley Road (LOVR) will be relocated until February 2016. The realignment allows work, “in Prefumo Creek in conjunction with the LOVR interchange project.”

The exit is now 1/4 mile north of the old off-ramp and lets out on Calle Joaquin leading to LOVR. On the converted portion of Calle Joaquin, access to businesses will remain open, but the current Calle Joaquin cul-de-sac will limit to one-way traffic southbound.

“To enhance safety, there will be parking restrictions and trucks traveling northbound on Calle Joaquin will be prohibited,” the City of SLO announced.IMG_3046-600x500

As well from August 24-27, the existing U.S. 101 southbound on-ramp will be closed and detours will be in place.  On August 28, both west and eastbound LOVR traffic will switch to the new LOVR bridge.

The same day the southbound on-ramp will open in its new configuration from eastbound LOVR.
