Vietnam Veterans to be honored

Vietnam War veterans will be feted at a special event set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 at the Alex Madonna Expo Center in SLO.
The event is free to Vietnam veterans, which are being treated by local veterans organizations. Donations for the luncheon and a special bronze sculpture are being accepted and it’s $130 to sponsor a vet. Costs for the luncheon for sponsors is just $20.
The Cuesta Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will have display tables set up for attendees to bring war memorabilia and photos of loved ones to be honored. The event is to say, “Thank you for your service.”
