Tiny Mike’s Barber Shop, located at 2300 N. Main St., Morro Bay will have three barbers on hand from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to give the free haircuts, especially for the needy and first-time customers but no one will be turned away, said Jon Elliott, owner of Tiny Mike’s and Mike’s Barbershop in Downtown Morro Bay. “There is no excuse to not have a clean Thanksgiving haircut,” he said.

At 5:30 on the 19th, the Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the shop. Appetizers and refreshments will be served.

Tiny Mike’s opened in June in a remodeled space that has been a barbershop since the 1950s.

“This shop is holding true to my business philosophy,” Elliott said, “by not only keeping regular hours and giving excellent service, but we compost the hair and practicing zero waste. We keep much of our marketing dollars local by sponsoring sports teams, school activities and local nonprofits. I also volunteer regularly for many organizations and community events. Thanks to the community for supporting us!”
