Make Your Heart Smile At Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market This February

Farmers market 2If there is one thing you can count on in February it is the constant reminder of the cherished or for some, dreaded holiday, Valentine’s Day.  While Valentine’s Day traditionally focuses on one love in our life, there is a ton of value in looking for love in all areas of your life. For some it may be a partner, family, friends (both furry and human), neighbors or even their favorite scoop of ice cream from one of our local shops Downtown. For those of you who have been to the Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market you know that there are plenty of varieties of love to be found.  So, if you find yourself stuck inside with the Valentdowntownfarmlogo9.3.15ine’s blues there is a wonderful cure here in SLO that will undoubtedly bring out a feeling of love for our community and all it has to offer.  On the other hand, if you do have a special someone in your life and are looking for a fun date night, no other option in town offers live music, delicious food, flowers, chocolates and the beautiful stars above.
This upcoming February, The Market will be offering up tons of love through delicious food from our loyal chefs and bakers.  A bit of comfort all wrapped up in a burrito from the Burrito Wagon or a yummy donut from Sugar Lips are just a couple to look forward to. If you prefer to impress your loved ones with a special meal at home, come explore some new items from the farmers who love to educate shoppers on fun ways to prepare their amazing products.  One of the benefits of coming out to The Market during the cooler months like February is getting more time to spend with our vendors whose passion for their product is contagious.
Farmers MarketIf the wonderful people and food are not quite enough to cure those Valentine’s Blues, the entertainment lined up for February may just do the trick. There will be performances from Studio @-Ryan’s American Dance, Performance Athletics Gymnastics and Main Street Dance Company. If you want to show off your own moves, you can check out live music from Kaylee Smith, Sky & Kat, John Morton and DC Rugebregt just to name a few.  Anthony Roselli will also be out twice in February to bring his uplifting folk tunes like “You’ve got to love, love” and many others.

If bluegrass brings a smile to your face like so many of us in SLO, come check out BanjerDan who will be out on February 4th.  BanjerDan always delivers quite the variety of originals and cover tunes and he always does his best to play special requests from his audience.

If all else fails, you can always count on a big bear hug from Downtown Brown who is definitely unmatched at putting a smile on people’s faces.  So come on out this February to get your fill of love and kick those blues at the Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market.
