Morro Bay Street Fair is Nov. 29

The Morro Bay Merchant’s Association Holiday Street Fair is set for 9 am. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29 in Downtown Morro Bay.

On tap will be more than 50 vendors in arts & crafts, seasonal and hand-made gifts and business vendors, kids rides with Luna’s Jumps of Santa Barbara, several non-profit organizations with cool informational booths and live music with the Noach Tangeras Band, Banjer Dan, the Born in a Barn Band, and the Cliffnotes featuring former Big Brother & The Holding Company singer, Valerie Johnson.

The live music will be at Grandma’s Frozen Yogurt and Waffle Shop stage at the corner of Main and Morro Bay Boulevard. Noach Tangeras plays at 10 a.m., Banjer Dan at noon, Born in a Barn at 1:15 and the Cliffnotes at 3, sponsored by Central Coast Music and Grandma’s. At 4:15, the music moves down the street to the Siren (formerly the Fuel Dock) for a big jam session.

A second stage will be at MBB and Monterey Street and feature a demonstration in Zumba fitness with the instructors from Morro Bay’s Fitness Works at 11 a.m. The Morro Bay High School Dance Troupe will perform at noon with Tribulation belly dancers coming on at 1 p.m.

And, a special free Santa Claus photo booth will be set up with Santa available for photos with the kids (bring a camera or camera phone to take pictures).

The Fair is in the 800 block of Main Street and the 300-400 blocks of Morro Bay Blvd., and will be held rain or shine (barring a downpour).
