Multiple Arrests Made in Grover Beach

Three Grover Beach residents were arrested at one location this morning. The incident resulted in a temporary road closure.

Shortly after 10 a.m. this morning Grover Beach police officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Mentone Ave. for a report of an assault on a person.

Upon arrival officers were confronted by an uncooperative man, later identified as Nicolas S. Scozzani, 24, who allegedly obstructed the officers and resisted arrest, according to new release issued by Chief John Peters.

During the struggle additional officers were sent to the scene and another nine people were detained for investigation.

Further investigation resulted in the arrest of Paul E. Peterson, 24, on charges of criminal threats and Elizabeth M. Maddocks, 23, for $3,000 in arrest warrants.

Additionally, a code enforcement inspection was completed at the residence and several violations were found by the building inspector.

Maddocks was transported to the police department where she was cited and released on her warrants. Scozzani and Peterson were both transported to the police department for pre-booking and then transferred to the San Luis Obispo County Jail.
