Police Search for Armed Robber

Morro Bay Police are searching for a Hispanic man who robbed the local Domino’s Pizza restaurant at gunpoint Tuesday night.

According to Morro Bay Police Cmdr. Bryan Millard, at about 11:32 p.m. Jan. 6, an unidentified Hispanic man entered the restaurant, located at 2360 N. Main St., and demanded money from the employee on duty.

“It was reported,” Millard said, “the employee observed a weapon and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen. The suspect fled the business and got into a dark colored mini van parked nearby.

Millard said the suspect is described as a Hispanic man, 30-35 years old, about 5-foot 6-inches tall with a “stocky” build. The vehicle was a “dark colored mini van,” apparently the make or model unknown. The store is located near the Hwy 1 on ramps at Hwy 41, just four blocks or so away from an easy potential getaway.

On Wednesday, Millard said the investigation was ongoing and anyone with any information regarding this crime should contact MBPD immediately at 772-6225. The suspect is considered armed and should not be approached if seen.
