The Estero Bay Republican Federated recently donated $1,500 to Honor Flight, the organization that takes World War II and Korean War veterans to Washington D.C. to tour the nation’s war memorials. The donation will pay for one veteran’s trp. Club members donated the money. Honor Flight began in 2005 in Springfield, Ohio. A Central Coast Honor Flight was started in December 2013. Since that time, Honor Flight Central Coast of California has flown 100 veterans to D.C., and plans more flights this year.
