Runners of all ages turned out to become masterpieces of vibrant color Jan. 24 for the SLO Color Blast Fun Run, a non-competitive 5k run/walk charity event. Runners are doused in a multicolored array of dust made of food grade cornstarch and dye. The Alex Maier Memorial Fund & Scholarship receives the proceeds from the $35 registration fee in honor of San Luis Obispo High School soccer player Alex Maier who was killed in a traffic accident.
