The Arroyo Grande High School Beach Volleyball Club was formed earlier this year as of a way for boys and girls to compete in the sport against other high school club teams.
The most recent match was a home game against both Santa Barbara and Camarillo. AGHS lost to Santa Barbara and beat Camarillo.
The league includes teams from Santa Barbara, San Marcos, Oxnard, Camarillo, and Foothill Tech. Each school pits their first, second and third rated doubles teams against each other. The girls’ season is in the spring and the boys’ is in the fall.
Currently the local boys are 5 and 2.
