Kyle Collins was born in Santa Barbara, and moved to Santa Maria in 2009. He has been a cartoonist since his high school newspaper days. He is a lifetime surfer and a big fan of professional, as well as leisurely surfing. His second cousin, the late Sean Collins founded Surfline, the biggest surf forecasting/surf media in the world. He renewed his interest in creating comics after nearly a 15 year hiatus, and it was first showcased via Facebook, much like that of the recent incarnation of Bloom County by Berkley Breathed.
