Los Borrachos Top Rum Runners in MB Rec Softball

Action has already begun in the spring 2015 Morro Bay Rec Softball Leagues and in the Co-ed Upper Division, Los Borrachos improved to 2-2 with a sobering 15-12 slugfest win over the 2-2 Rum Runners. Borracho Colin Douglas homered, Garrett Morrow and Joel Runner had inside-the-park home runs, and Jamie Pereira drove in 2 runs. Rum Runners Patrick Haugen homered and Dallas Collison had 2 RBIs.
Team Sab shook up the winless Tremors 14-10 to improve to 3-1 and remain in first place. Robin Ross chased home a run for the Sabs, and Brett Ash and Tyler Fechner  each homered for the Tremors and Tina Doxtater, Jasmine Singh, Britainy Parker and Chelsea Webb each had a RBI.
In Co-ed Lower division, Jim’s Automotive topped A.B.A. 17-16 to improve to 2-2. Katie Howard had 3 RBIs for Jim’s and A.B.A.’s Jason Walker and Bryce Blumental had in-the-park home runs. Squids (1-2) inked their first win — a forfeit by Staff Infection (0-3). Jolly Rogers shanghaied Caucasian Debris 19-11 with Amy Webster, Bee Hoose and Kaylee driving in 2 runs each. Bridgette Howard had 2 RBI for Caucasian Debris (1-3).
In Master’s division play, Half Cents (3-0) had all the answers against the 1-2 Question Marks winning a laugher 22-3 as Tom Wood hit two homeruns, and Phil Stevens had an inside-the-park HR. Bearly Movin’ (1-1) ran over the 0-3 South Bay Grays 20-9 and Gray Line Fever exploded against the MB Bombers 21-2 and improved to 2-0-1.
And in Men’s League play, the league leading Central Cal Schools (3-0) out-slugged the 1-3 Road Warriors 34-33 as Danny Woodman and Garrett Morrow each hit 3 homeruns, Justin Rodgers had one HR and Collin Douglas had an inside-the-parker for the School boys. Dave Patterson hit four homeruns, Jake Bradbury two and Nick Balentine one for the Road Warriors.
