Several hundred folks gathered July 4 in Morro Bay to celebrate Independence Day and to christen the new Morro Creek Bridge, part of a day of festivities the City put together for the holiday. The day started out with the Annual Morro Bay Mile Skateboard race, which rolled over the bridge, up the new Harborwalk extension and onto the Embarcadero. The ribbon cutting ceremony was followed by the Annual Fourth of July Bike Parade, and finally as family picnic day at Tidelands Park. Photos courtesy Sam Taylor, CMB
