The Morro Bay Fire Department is reminding residents and property owners that it’s weed abatement time again. The MBFD asks residents to cut excessive grasses, clear fire-hazardous (dry-dead) vegetation and remove flammable debris by June 15. Due to the drought and predictions of extreme fire conditions in California, the department needs help with its efforts to keep Morro Bay a fire-safe community.
