Some 2,600 runners and walkers took part in the recent 13th Annual Miracle Miles for Kids fun run on Morro Strand Beach. Pepe Gonzales, 23 of Paso Robles repeated as race champion covering the 6-mile run (10K) in 36 minutes 32 seconds, a 5:53 per mile clip. Second place was Jaisen Singh of Grover Beach (38:55, 6:16). Top female runner was 11-year-old phenom, Taylor Jones of Arroyo Grande who ran 42:10 (6:48). Second fastest female was Carin Van Gaale, 30 of Los Osos who ran 43:30 (7-flat).
