Volunteer Work at Montaña de Oro

SEarth Day 8 Earth Day 6ome 71 employee volunteers with Pacific Gas & Electric, along with friends and family members, turned out April 16 at Montaña de Oro State Park to perform a number of clean up, trail maintenance, and restoration projects around the park. It was part of a company-wide effort of public service projects. Ed Halpin, a senior vice president and chief nuclear office at Diablo Canyon told volunteers, ‘Last April, more than 2,500 PG&Eers, along with family and friends, volunteered a total of more than 11,000 hours throughout Northern and Central California. This year, our goal is for more than 3,000 PG&E volunteers to participate in our fourth annual company-wide Month of Service.’ Photos courtesy John Lindsay, PG&E
