Another Child Porn Arrest in SLO

SLOCN Philippe EstinesMUGSan Luis Obispo Police arrested another local man for suspicion of possessing and distributing child pornography, the second similar arrest within the past month.
On Wednesday, April 1, SLOPD detectives served a search warrant at a residence in the 2800 block of Johnson Ave., Lt. John Bledsoe said in a news release. “The warrant authorized the search for evidence of child pornography.”
During the search, detectives reportedly discovered several images and videos of suspected children under the age of 18 “engaged in various stages of sexual conduct.” These were allegedly found on the computer and other electronic devices belonging to Philippe Estines, 20 of SLO, Lt. Bledsoe said.
Detectives allegedly found that Estines was also “involved in sharing and distributing some of the child pornography with other users on the Internet,” Lt. Bledsoe said.
Estines was home at the time and was arrested for alleged possession and distribution of suspected child pornography. He was booked into County Jail with bail set at $35,000.
It was the second child porn arrest made by SLOPD in the past few weeks. On March 11, another man, Christopher Daniel Kluck, 57 of SLO was arrested after another search, triggered by a tip from an Arroyo Grande Police officer who works with the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, was served in the 3900 block of Higuera St.
Kluck reportedly had “tens of thousands of files and videos” allegedly containing child porn images stored on computers, hard drives and thumb drives, which SLOPD seized and was to search for any more suspected illegal images.
Lt. Bledsoe said the two cases are unrelated and they had discovered enough suspect materials to charge Kluck.
