You don’t have to cook a huge meal or be by yourself on Thanksgiving. Morro Bay’s Annual Free Thanksgiving Dinner is set for 1-3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 27 at the Community Center, 1001 Kennedy Way, Morro Bay. All community members are invited to this traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings.

Nancy Castle and Chuck Stoll are leading the numerous volunteers in the monumental effort to cook and put on a dinner for hundreds of people.

Folks are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to donate for the use at the weekly Monday night free dinners at the Vet’s Hall. They could also use cash donations.

The dinner is hosted by the Morro Bay Peace Officers’ Association, Morro Bay Seniors, and Art Goes Places with a number of local businesses donating to and supporting the dinner.
