Merry Old St. Nick returns to SLO’s Mission Plaza at 10 a.m. sharp on Friday, Nov. 27.
The magical presence is assisted every year by the SLO Downtown Association and it’s free for kiddos to come up and say, “Hi,” get a candy cane, little toy and coloring book, but if parents want to take a snap with their iPhone, the Association asks $5 to offset the cost of the event.
For a more professional touch, it’s $7.50 to receive a framed photo from the elves on staff or $11 to have them print up and frame one taken by a parent.
Santa flies back to the North Pole by 7 p.m. every night but he’ll come back every day until his big trip on Christmas Eve. Exact daily schedules may change, check out the Downtown Association website at: www.downtownslo.com to see if Santa is here before heading over.
