The Grover Beach Police Department arrested two men on alleged drug and probation violations.
On Sept. 24 at approximately 10:45 a.m. the department received a report of a possible drug transaction in the 100 block of Carmelde Lane.
An officer stopped a vehicle associated with the report in the 200 block of W. Branch Street in Arroyo Grande.
The driver, Allen Michael Thompson, 26, was found to be driving on a suspended license and he and his passenger, Jordan William King, 29, were on probation. During a subsequent probation search of the car, illegal narcotics, controlled substances, and a firearm were found, according to a news release.
GBPD, the San Luis Obispo County Probation Department, and the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Unit conducted a second probation search at a residence in the 100 block of Carmelde Lane.
Consequently Thompson was arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotics and controlled substances, possession of narcotics and controlled substances for sale, transportation of narcotics and controlled substances, felony probation violation, and six outstanding warrants as well as other charges.
King was arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotics and controlled substances, possession of narcotics and controlled substances for sale, transportation of narcotics and controlled substances, and probation violation.
Both Thompson and King were booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail. Thompson’s bail was set at $355,000. King’s bail was set at $45,000.
