Miracle Miles Run May 7

The 13th Annual Miracle Miles for Kids benefit fun run is set for Saturday, May 7 on Morro Strand Beach, and last-minute registrations are still being taken. The MM4K has quickly grown into the largest beach run in SLO County with more than 2,500 runners and walkers expected, and is a major fundraiser for the Family Care Network, a non-profit organization that assists families in need and crisis in SLO and Santa Barbara counties.

Cost to enter is $60 adults, $15 for kids 6-14, and free for 5-under. Or garner $100 in pledges and get up to $35 off registration. Sign up online at: www.MM4K.com or on race day from 6-8 a.m. in the Morro Rock parking lot. The 6.2-mile race goes from Morro Rock to the Cayucos Pier, where there will be a celebration at the Vet’s Hall featuring live music by The Damon Castillo Band, breakfast, a vendor fair, children’s activities and awards ceremony. Every participant will get a goody bag full of swag and a MM4K 2016 race T-shirt. A bus will take you back to your car in Morro Bay. Two-time winner and race record holder, Pepe Gonzales, returns this year to defend his title in what has become a quite competitive race.
