Obituary: John Fennacy

Morro Bay resident, John Fennacy, born July 19, 1964, died unexpectedly due to heart failure on July 15, 2016.

Fennacy graduated from Fresno High School, Fresno County EMT and Paramedic programs, Oral Roberts University, and the San Joaquin College of Law.

“Big Daddy” loved skiing, scuba diving and was fortunate enough to have traveled the world, but his true joy came from cooking for family and friends. There wasn’t a room that he could not fill with laughter.

Fennacy is survived by Meredith, his wife of 28 years, children Logan and Blaine, his parents Jack and Brenda Fennacy, Stan and Robin Ness, brothers Jim, Mike, and Matt, sisters in law, multiple nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and countless friends.

The Fennacy Family owns and operates Brickhouse BBQ on Main Street in Downtown Morro Bay. In lieu of flowers, “go eat a sandwich at Brickhouse.”

Service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, July 29 at Rock Harbor Christian Fellowship in Morro Bay. Casual attire encouraged — Crocs and flip flops. A reception will follow.
