Cal Poly awarded an honorary doctorate degree to hotel owner and philanthropist, Phyllis Madonna at its June 13, spring commencement ceremony. Madonna received the degree and addressed graduates of the Colleges of Agriculture, Food & Environmental Sciences, and Science and Mathematics at the ceremony in Spanos Stadium.
Other keynote addresses included GoDaddy CEO and technology pioneer, Blake Irving, and KTTV anchor and Cal Poly alumna, Laura Diaz .
