Fire Safe Fair, Oct. 8

Cal Fire Sta. 15 South Bay in Los Osos is hosting its annual Fire Safety Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8 in the Rite Aid Parking lot on LOVR. The free event will have a fire engine to tour, Sheriff’s Office vehicles, SLO Ambulance and other emergency agencies, plus demos and games and more. Sparky the Fire Dog and Smokey Bear will be there to meet the kids and there will be special demos of rescue techniques and fire safe information. There’ll be a barbecue lunch provided by Reserve Company 15. Proceeds benefit the Alisa Ann Ruch Foundation (see: www.aarbf.org).
